about bamboo development

hi, i’m sue, the principal of bamboo development

my philosophy is to create programmes that are practical, effective and grounded in research and to curate for you those resources that will best support your development needs

i draw on a lot of different traditions and continue to learn and explore so as to incorporate the latest learning and development in what I can offer you

ofcourse i also draw on my own experiences of professional and personal life

professional and leadership experience

from 1992 – 1997 i worked as a a corporate lawyer with top teams of FTSE 500 companies and later as the head of legal and business affairs for a small tv company in the pearson group

from 1998-2006 i was the regional business head in asia of pearson tv (later renamed fremantlemedia after being acquired by bertelsmann). fremantlemedia was the world’s largest producer of tv shows, responsible for the hugely successful show ‘american idol’ and many other genres all over the world.

in asia i led and, with the team, grew what had been a marginal business into  a large business across 9 active territories. the cross-cultural management team was spread across 7 asian offices and i had full P&L responsibility and reported to the board in the uk

education and professional training

  • BA in philosophy, politics and economics, oxford university
  • UK qualified lawyer
  • accredited mediator with the singapore mediation centre
  • ICF accredited coach (level ACC)
  • diploma in positive business psychology, national council of psychotherapists, UK
  • certified integral coach and results/neuroleadership coach
  • certified, trained and familiar with a variety of instruments and processes
